As always, it will be down to the deals that manufacturers are prepared to offer at any given time, which vary considerably by brand, model and even model variants within. As an example, a car that I am considering privately currently has no manufacturer funded discount on 2 of the 4 engine variants, £750 off the 3rd and £3,000 off the 4th!
Also, I know that most folk on this forum only look at APs, as if that’s the only cost to them, completely ignoring the far more significant cost of the £12k sacrificed benefits (if on PIP) or £13.5k if on WPMS, both of which are by far the main part of the lease cost. Therefore, as an example, someone looking at the AP in isolation on two cars, one with an AP of £500 and another costing £2,000, may think that one is four times the cost (or 400% more) than the other. In reality, when you add in the major cost to us of the lease, one car is costing £12,500 and the other £14,000 – a difference of 12%, not 400%. Quite some difference!
