The scratches and alloy wheel damage that you describe would seem to fall well within the acceptable level of wear and tear that Motability will allow without affecting your Good Condition Bonus. You’d be surprised at the level of damage that Motability will allow! So, no, you do not need to let the insurer know. In fact, if you call them, they will suggest that if you are prepared to live with the damage then it won’t affect your good condition bonus. Smart repair companies such as Chips Away can do fairly low cost bodywork repairs if it’s something that will irritate you.
