I have a Nissan following a Tiguan and 5 xc Volvos ,all diesel, not a 40 however, all great cars, so it is well worth trying the XC40?

According to the dictionary, a hybrid is something having or produced by a combination or two or more distinct elements , which in this case is a combination of an ICE and an electric motor with a battery , either charged by the ICE or by Plug in, with both the electric motor and the ICE driving the wheels via an auto transmission I believe?

My ePower Qashqai has a different setup, in that there is only an electric motor driving the wheels just like any other EV, but the battery is charged by an ICE which is not connected to, and does not drive the wheels. There is no gearbox as we know it.

However, it still falls under the definition of ‘hybrid’, i guess , because the drive is produced by two elements ie petrol and battery power?

I average around 56 mpg, on a long run, and around 49-52 in town, with a smooth all electric drive, instant acceleration (very quick ) mostly in silence..
