Just do what a lot of people do, when they get their vehicle, put cash away for the next AP in 3 years time.
But if ICE is what you want, as suggested get something that fits your needs. But you will have to save up for the next lease and that will be an EV.
Bearing in mind, it used to cost me £40 to fill the petrol tank from half to full on my ICE car. With a home charger it costs me £2.80 to half fill EV with electricity. Both had similar range, only 20 miles or so difference
I have an EV and would never go back to an ICE car. Its so much cheaper to run.
