Install day today. 3rd time lucky. Motability ops even rang me to make sure he’d arrived ! Superb. Anyhoo he was due 1130 arrived 830. All fitted by 1230 but with 5metre tethered cable not the 8 metre I asked for. Definitely a surge protector fitted outside the meter box all neat thanks @kezo. App shows all set up correctly at 32amps again thanks Kezo. Might leave at the 5 as the 8 might be too heavy for me just means a bit of shuffling on the drive.
Yay!!! So happy you got sorted in the end. The cables can be heavy and, as with all cables/ropes, can be a difficult thing to coil up. Something many forget when it comes to those with limited capabilities and charging. I’ve a 10 metre cable which I originally got because people tended to park where they liked despite the charger. It can be an absolute pain to coil up properly as it is both heavy and can get twisted, usually requiring some force to get to coil neatly.
aahh !! Thank you ! Yes even the 5 metre is quite unwieldy and heavy. It’s exactly why I went tethered so I wouldn’t have to carry cables plus a walking stick ( plus I walk like a drunk) the 8 metre would definitely have been an issue.
