Hi. I’m new to this. I just ordered an Ariya. Ohme asked me to do a survey so I did. I quickly got an invoice for £191.20. It only stated on it an additional 15m cable. £12.88 a mtr that works out as. I informed them it would only require 18m after I checked my figures. 2st 15m should be free. They were not listening so I simply said I’m not qualified and demanded a qualified person does a survey. SSE sent an engineer who checked he said 18m to 29m that was nearly 2 weeks ago. Today I got an invoice for £271.20 for additional 15mtrs. Now its £18.06m . I’ve asked them for a detailed invoice and the SSE engineers report. I ring them in the morning. This is causing me significant stress and anxiety. I have sent a message to Andrew @ Mobilityoperations as suggested. £5 extra per metre. Clearly this is wrong and I agree they are taking advantage of a monopoly situation as the only company allowed to do Mobility. I will ring my nissan dealer and suggest I am considering cancelling due to the what I see as dishonest practice of the provider of charging unit ohme

You have done right to ask for an itemised quote and send A Miller an email.

Is your electricity meter in a box outside or in a cupboard in the house?

In your opinion, how far from the meter to where the charger will be located?

A photo or drawing showing where your meter is and whereabout you want the charger in perspective to your house would be helpful.

The cheepest retail price for EV Ultra is £8.15 per meter and is for the tough non SWA (armoured) cable.
