It looks like Renault will probably be my next car with the Clio Esprit Alpine version. It comes with all the bells & whistles ; heated seats, ACC, even a heated steering wheel… and all for under £600 AP.
I don’t blame you! Its seems Renault is taking things up a notch with their latest generations. The upcoming retro styled 5 will be interesting if you want a small EV. Not sure on the new retro Reno 4 when it heads our way, will receive the same enthusiasm! Peugeot, is trying to kid the consumer, with its lame exuse. It got use to offering less for more during the pandemic and greed has since taken over!
Agreed kezo. Numerous motoring journalists have mentioned over the past couple of years how Peugeot have really upped the quality of their cars to a much higher standard – but at enormous expense to the buyer. Peugeot now see themselves as ‘almost’ equals to the likes of Audi and classes above. I’m all for improving design, quality materials inside the cabin, good technology etc, but why forget your core market?
If Renault can launch the new hybrid 1.6 Clio with everything you need onboard like ACC, heated seats & steering wheel, satnav, blind spot monitoring, reversing camera, etc etc etc – then why can’t Peugeot? After all, Peugeot, Renault & Citroen have always been very similar cars which compete in the exact same market… despite what the top management at Peugeot HQ may tell you!
