Ssangyong never had the identity in the UK as other Korean brands. Unless you had ever owned one or new of the brand, it was perhaps a manufacturer, people would faintly recognise “Ssangyong” if they drove close enough to one. KG Motability rebranding to KGM, may not be the best of idea’s, perhaps sounding a little to Chinesey!
Among cult followers the brand will always be known as Ssangyong, especially with models such as the Rexton.
