MaccaHave to say, I think the Torres has superb presence, and this colour combo with the black interior looks superb …
Dealers will have the UK specs in December.

ajnI usually enjoy you vids and input macca but the music after turning it down, then that annoying sped up video thing resulted in immediate shut down for me, also I hate the front of it, looks like a cheap toy from a market stall ?..
However I wouldn’t have even looked if you didn’t post so Thanks anyway..?
It is nice to see someone not pushing EV on here, said it years ago, it’s a big ask for total ev travel but we all have dreams..?

MaccaYeah, thats the thing with the youtube vids, content can be a bit random. Unless its a UK review, I tend to leave the sound off.
As for the Torres, we all like what we like, and hate what we don’t eh.
Personally I love the look of it, right down to the red tow hitch cover. I love that they’ve not been drawn down the road of making it super slick and curvy.
For me the bonnet handles, side decor panels, and fake spare wheel housing on the rear do distinguish it.
Time will tell if they bring it to the scheme, but if the reception for it in Korea is any indication, it may sell well in the UK

ajnHhhmmmm yeah I’m going in for a 2nd look then, later on I guess

October 11, 2023 at 8:20 pm #237769
ajnSide on I love it, inside nice too, the front well it’s growing on me, but the rear I now hate after watching this

MaccaHahahaha ?, cars are a funny old thing aren’t they. If we all liked the same thing the place would be beige.
I’m interested enougb to want to see it in the metal once its launched, and if it comes to yge scheme, then an extended test drive would be the thing to do.

MaccaMay be a bit too much for a trip to ASDA ? …..
?
October 12, 2023 at 9:58 pm #237959
MaccaYer know I get the concept if this, but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just drop the rear seats and kip on the car if you were out and about ?
October 12, 2023 at 11:08 pm #237973I’d probably fall out ?
October 13, 2023 at 1:42 pm #238059
ajnIf they threw it in free of charge maybe ?..
I think I would use it, I have slept in the Volvo with my coat over my legs across the lowered rear seats & and my top half under the parcel self in the boot..(night fishing weekends)
December 22, 2023 at 1:57 am #252032So, Ssangyong gets the expected rebranding for the UK, and media are now talking about the Torres being available in the 1.5 petrol turbo as well as an EV…..
https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ssangyong/361878/so-long-ssangyong-brand-renamed-kgm-uk
December 22, 2023 at 9:47 am #252036Ssangyong never had the identity in the UK as other Korean brands. Unless you had ever owned one or new of the brand, it was perhaps a manufacturer, people would faintly recognise “Ssangyong” if they drove close enough to one. KG Motability rebranding to KGM, may not be the best of idea’s, perhaps sounding a little to Chinesey!
Among cult followers the brand will always be known as Ssangyong, especially with models such as the Rexton.

January 19, 2024 at 4:52 pm #255799I’d still be prepared to cancel the Enyaq for the EVX.
Had an email from saying launching in weeks unusually they emailed me as promised I was shocked a company did what they said they would.i replied to ask about Motability wonder if they’ll reply…
Not so keen on the Ice look but I’ll have an EVX if the promo info is correct wanna see one in the flesh first. Nice to see a car with a huge boot
February 17, 2024 at 6:52 pm #258664So for anyone interested in the Torres, the UK brochure is now available to download from the KGM website …
February 20, 2024 at 9:01 pm #258942So I see the petrol powered Torres for the UK has lost its gearstick, but its OK there’s a switch ??♂️

February 21, 2024 at 6:08 pm #259047You check it out then Willis?
As much as I really wanted to, I had just collected the wife from the dentist and just pulling up outside the garage got me a look of daggers followed by a very garbled “Don’t even think about it!”
I will definitely be back there tomorrow though. It will be a case of perfect timing as I am test driving the Suburu Forester on Friday so will have the Torres fresh in my head, albeit just a viewing, but at least I will have some idea on whether it’s worth waiting to see if the Torres does come onto the scheme or not.
February 21, 2024 at 9:29 pm #259081? she who must be obeyed eh ?
Let us know what you make of it.
