Skoda and Stellantis are moving to an agency type model where dealerships get a flat fee for each car sold. Mercedes already run on that principle.
That model works in Motability’s favour as long as the dealerships can survive without the traditional profit on new car sales.
Several EV companies are running with either limited or no showrooms and are running a partnership for servicing and any maintenance issues. I guess they’ll not be on the scheme either.
