@Steve Rather than the protests taking place outside the senedd, everyone for a week or as long as it takes should drive everywhere at 20mph and not park on pavements especially in and around cities, towns and villages. The country will then become gridlocked and at a standstill. The emergency services will become nightmare as they previously predicted and warned Dripford & co at the time. Only then will the Senedd sit up and take note of the largest petition Wales as ever seen.
The problem getting with political parties these days, is they forget who puts them into power. Welsh Labour has become to complacent after being in power for so long.
Decisions on safety should not be political. Give the 20mph a chance to bed in then give judgement. If it saves just one life surely that’s worth it.
There is no evidence of safety mate other than what Dripford & co has imagined. If you look at all the 20mph trials that have taken place around the UK, there as been no proof around safety. Many area’s have since reverted back to 30mph. However I don’t think anyone in Wales is complaining of 20mph around the likes of schools but a near blanket 20mph icluding arterial roads and other roads similar is down right bonkers.
