According to government data around 7% of road vehicles in Britain are electric as of June 2023. That means 93% aren’t!
Its highly unlikely the government will follow through with the 2030 ban regardless of the bull sh!t agenda they keep peddling saying they will. At the very least the government will fall in line with the 2035 date set by the EU.
The governments ZEV mandate of fining manufacturers if they manufacturers don’t produce and sell electricric vehicles is ludicrous. It will put pressure on vehicle manufacturers and will force them to relocate. Equally ludicrous is the idea of buying carbon credits of other manufacturers should they not hit the governments target.
The sale of new ICE vehicles are being banned in 2030 according to the government and I say that lightly. Yet the government is introducing the ZEV mandate in 2024. Why! Thankfully there are a growing number of Tory’s who have grown a bit of common and are now pushing back on these stupid idea’s.
