Preface. I’ve swapped, early, my EV for a full hybrid.Corsa EV. Clio hybrid. Different sizes. Ok.
EV charging at home for us with Economy 7. Excellent.
Problems: Here in Cornwall infrastructure is patchy ( being kind here,) 220 range in winter was half that with lights and wipers . Charging at public spaces was a poor experience. Expensive. Chargers often dead. Horrid.
Swapped. Full hybrid. Self charging.
Done 1020 miles.
632 on electric only. And I live 5 miles from nearest town ( Pz or St Ives). Average mpg currently 62.1
So geographic isolation is not helpful with an EV…even with a PodPoint charger on the wall.
I’ll return to an EV when the range advertised is true and legally binding within 10 % or so.
