    The biggest risk was that used BEVs wouldn’t sell with all the FUD that is spread.   If dealers faced being left with BEVs on their forecourts for long periods, then Motability would struggle to offload theirs, which would hit us very hard. Thus, this is great news.  EV’s taking a bigger portion of the used market reflects the hope that our roads would become cleaner and that our used values would maintain a more traditional level of expectation.

    I didn’t expect it would take long for the 2nd hand market. Well from main dealers or specialists that can give a full battery staus report. The problem I see in the used market is when the battery warranty is due to or has expired by years or mileage, whichever comes first. Only then will we know the shelf life of EV’s. However having said that battery prices will drop over time, hopefully making it as cheap as some larger mechanical problems on ICE vehicles.

    Yes we have traded are carbon footprint and dirty air to other countries, for clean air ?
