The fact is that the Audi is one of the choices and if people dont choose to pay the ap it will be taken back off the scheme or have the AP reduced. In all honesty I’m just glad to have a choice of several decent sized SUV battery vehicles. I think the changes made for the second quarter have been impressive with a substantial increase in EV choice. I would prefer lower APs of course, but some of these cars are £40 to £50k so are premium cars.

I must agree, the number of EVs on the scheme is improving.  When you think about APs though they are improving.  The Megane came on scheme at £5450 and the same model is now £2450 but the next model up is now on scheme at £1245, which is incredible for something of that level of technology.  The Enyaq was on at £6995 and has dropped to £3999 or £4250 depending on design plus the bigger ranged version is on at £5299 for the higher spec designs, still significantly cheaper than in February.  If the rest follow suit, then the ID4, Ioniq5, Q4 and the Mach-E could all drop in value.

Then there’s the likely additions.  With both the Volvo C40 and Cupra Born both making an appearance in Birmingham, there’s got to be a thought that they’ll soon follow onto the scheme.
