Yes, but your main electricity use outside the cheap window is charged at a higher rate, as is the standing charge. I’m not charging an EV, but a PHEV. Far less electricity involved and I don’t fully charge every day. I did the maths. If I charged at night and used up the available battery the following morning I’d still need to charge at peak rate to use the battery again later in the day.
