I’m glad you’ve got a resolution. I have to say that I don’t miss our last Tiguan one bit. Whilst they are well equipped, I’m not a fan of how many of the VW systems work, especially when you’ve been used to the same systems operating far better in other manufacturers cars. I cannot think of a single system that doesn’t work better in the BMW that we replaced it with – and that includes forward collision assist, cruise control, adaptive headlights, Sat Nav, voice control etc. Actually, that’s a lie. There is one feature that I miss from the Tiguan and that’s AutoHold, but that’s it.
Hopefully your Ford dealer will give you an honest answer on lead times for a Kuga, as Ford have had some of the longest delays and 12-15 months was the norm not that long ago. Nissan seem to be the quickest at the moment.
I would urge you to think long and hard about reverting to a manual transmission having had an auto. Many people who do that live to regret it.
