Just had a call back from my local Skoda dealer and he has confirmed the new facelift Sportline does now come with a modern digital dash but it is not configurable apart from showing the obvious trip computer stuff whereas the virtual cockpit allows you to customize the dash layout and display things like sat nav in the binnacle.
What’s confusing on the configurator is you have to spec the Amundsen 8″ display with virtual cockpit when the 8″ display is already included as standard on the sportline. Maybe they should change that to just virtual cockpit to make it less confusing. I think that at £600 its worth it but the slightly larger columbus unit with VC is not worth it i don`t think at a whopping 1400 quid.
