The talk on 22Kw onboard chargers is only good if you use public chargers, but I thought the point of BEV’s was to keep running costs down, charge as cheaply as possible. It means nothing in real terms when using your home charger unless you have a 3 phase supply (as many of of europen friends do) and a switchable 3.4-22Kw wall charger. It just shows how behind our electrical system is. Hence the reason why Ive always said to anyone requiring minor works needed to fit a home charger to ask/beg for a 3 phase supply, if only to future proof their property.
