I’ve found the first one, from Hyundai. I can’t post it as it’s a pdf, but click on the ‘Price Guide’ button on the following page and you can open it

I’ve discovered that most of the new cars that have been added to the scheme are due for either direct replacement (2024 Tiguan, 2024 BMW X2) or an update of some sort, (facelift) and thus, they will become ‘dated’ within the next 2 years.
Would you rather they weren’t added?
January 1, 2023 at 5:17 pm #204159Hi david
what you gain for the cheaper Elegance trim is sunroof, IQLights, reversing camera and electric tail lift but as things are I think I’m going to stick with the soon to be delivered R-Line as I’m fed up with the long waits.

That’s a fair question!
My frustration lies with what I feel are over inflated APs for ageing models.
Motability cars:
2015 RR Evoque AWD 2.0 TD4 SE Tech - written off
2017 Toyota CH-R 1.2T Dynamic CVT AWD - written off

2023 Nissan Qashqai e-Power N-ConnectaJanuary 1, 2023 at 9:57 pm #204208@Aygo1991 I think VW start taking orders for the Mk3 Tiguan in September this year but not sure it matter a lot to Motability customers as they’ve no worries about selling the car in a few years time.
Oh, I see! And that’s very true, I guess.

One thing to note, after talking to our saleslady today (about the ID5) – we got offered one from stock. So there’s a chance to circumvent the probably 18-24 months of waiting time IDs currently have.

ShanoHi Guys,
Looking at the Skoda Enyaq, ID5 and the Nissan Ariya. Trying to work out the best option.
I think the Ariya looks like the nicest option (with the Bose pack), as it has the best standard tech vs the rest. ID5 seems OK but has the best range.
Any viewpoints from you guys?

ajnApologies if this has been asked before, however this will/could be my first ever reorder for another motor..
My lease will end in Dec 2023, when can I start thinking of ordering/test driving another lease car if I want to change..
Also if I were to extend due to pathetic Advanced payments, and extra charge on auto gears would it be quicker keeping an eye out for a stock car that actually exists with its bells and whistles rather than a Frankenstein car that turns up after ordering..
(slightly confused on the stock car front too, but would travel if need be)
Wasn’t impressed when the ordered car that turned up only slightly resembling what they decide to make and pass on to me, as my Volvo xc40 inscription pro..
only half the car I/we test drove but after a very long wait Mrs aj just wanted transport again..
sorry if this is a negative approach but, one can only think how one see’s things as a fact..

Ive ordered the Ariya with the tech pack/22 kWh onboard charger before the price increase, when you take into consideration the free ohme charger it took the price down below 6K. I had a good look at the Skoda and the ID5 when the new list came on just in case they were better for my needs.
The ID5 looks really good slightly better looking than the Ariya imho and like you say great range but the standard specs are definitely not up to the Ariya,Skoda Enyaq massive inside, boot space far better than the Ariya but the looks really don’t work for me, I know looks are subjective and to me it’s bloody ugly, again spec really not up to the Ariya unless you spend big money on the option packs.
so I’ll stick with the Ariya.

With the Enyaq many of the “standard” features of the Ariya come in add on packs, so many would need to budget another 2 to 4 grand for these.

I think I agree. The Enyaq’s looks are a personal choice, I like the look of a huge estate car but can easily see why it’s not so hot for others. What is offputting though, is the requirement for a pack to get the sort of standard features the Ariya provides at base level. With AP and the Pack upgrade you’d need upwards of 12 grand – that’s a big no from most people for a car you’ll have for, at most, 5 years – probably 3. The ID5 has reasonabl equipment, although the Tech version would be much more suitable, with heated seats (ideal for an EV and really good for those with back issues) and that auto boot opening. Adding the infotainment pack to the ID5 gives you that augmented heads up display. However, both VAG models have issues with an infotainment system that is notoriously naff at best.
Which drags you back to the Ariya and it’s now £7,999 AP, unless you can still add packs as per last quarter. The range is acceptable (just) although the 80kWh would be much better, but the equipment is just much, much better as it comes.
I think I’ll be having a wonder around the VW garage to see just how clunky the infotainment is and whether the lack of standard features would be an issue (both Enyaq and ID5 have less as standard than my ZS Exclusive which was £20k+ cheaper). I think the lack of heated seats could be an issue, especially for the Mrs as she has real back issues which are aided by the heat.

January 2, 2023 at 10:59 am #204249Out of the Ariya ID or Enyak, I’d choose the Ariya
Although I’d never pay £8k, £222 extra onto of my allowance on a car that I will only have for 3 years and will not be mine. Given the tight ar$e I am, I’d take the MG4, for quarter of the price.

Am i looking at the wrong Ariya? I’ve read multiple times now that it’s so much better equipped than the ID5, but:
the advance has 360 camera, keyless and heated seats, .. that’s it? The ID5 has matrix LED lights, panoramic sunroof, heated seats, rear camera and keyless. And you could add the infotainment plus option for the augmented reality sat nav, bigger sat nav and dynaudio subwoofer/soundsystem and still be under the price of the Ariya.
The ID5 Style is better equipped than the Ariya Advance.
I’d personally not take either, but equipment wise there’s not much in it. If anything, the ID5 is better equipped with a great feature that’s not even available optional on the Ariya (matrix LEDs).
The only real “loser” here is the Enyaq that’s really barebones, and requires way too much money to just get to the base specs of the other two.
edit: scratch the tech pack part for the ID5, missed updated prices. Still, even as base model, is only missing a 360 cam (only reverse), but gains panoramic roof and matrix LEDs over the standard Advance.

not a bad looking car except for the small wheels, but the main problem for me is the lack of boot /internal space.
January 2, 2023 at 11:36 am #2042558k Advance Payment for a Datsun……………the world has gone mad, cost of living crisis…what cost of living crisis, war in Ukraine and China letting its people out to infect the world again its a mad mad world.
January 2, 2023 at 11:41 am #204259The talk on 22Kw onboard chargers is only good if you use public chargers, but I thought the point of BEV’s was to keep running costs down, charge as cheaply as possible. It means nothing in real terms when using your home charger unless you have a 3 phase supply (as many of of europen friends do) and a switchable 3.4-22Kw wall charger. It just shows how behind our electrical system is. Hence the reason why Ive always said to anyone requiring minor works needed to fit a home charger to ask/beg for a 3 phase supply, if only to future proof their property.
agree with the seat height @MFillingham
January 2, 2023 at 11:43 am #204260Do you have as strong an opinion on the Vauxhall (French owned) Astra PHEV and the costs associated.

Let’s not forget the Grandland is the same AP as the Ariya.
Having had the e2008 as a courtesy car when the MG has been in for a service, it feels cheap. Stellantis do have a tendancy of having cars that could feel just that little better if a touch more money was spent on materials. Whereas ‘Datsun’ have a reputation for building their cars properly.

Two totally different pieces of engineering – one is powered by chopsticks the other frogs?
My Datsun 120y was one of the few cars that never broke or let me down!

totally agree . If anybody gets a chance to drive a GTR please do, it’s a eye opener.
January 2, 2023 at 11:54 am #204265I’ve never understood why Datsun is used as a “derogatory” term anyway, considering one of their cars is on many petrolheads wish list (Fairlady Z/240Z).
I like Nissan, gave the world some of the greatest cars ever made. Be it the aforementioned 240Z, the Hakosuka or GTRs (well, from R32 to R34 anyway).

In fairness, the new 308 is built much better. It’s the first model after their “rebrand”, or rather “repositioning” as a more premium manufacturer, and it shows. As much as i dislike some really stupid decisions in the 308 (steering wheel), the interior quality beats most other stuff in the class, including the Golf 8. Not quite A3/1series maybe, but close enough for a first try by Peugeot.

I will be changing at work which is 3 phase so it was worth specing at the time.
