Hi Andy – I think Ian has the best set up I am aware of ie solar panels – we were always concerned about solar panels damaging the roof – so although we looked about 4 years ago decided against it – I think a lot depends on your mileage and circumstances – I usually do around 10,000 a year and can charge from home – so it works out cheaper – but my last car (swopped 3 weeks ago) was a Prius phev that did just over 30 miles on battery before switching to petrol engine – the electric ride was so much better quieter and easier than when it was on petrol – so sold EV to me. I still expect to be quids in compared to petrol and I still believe it to be one of the best cars on Motability, if size isn’t an issue. £999 when I ordered the ultimate – lovely safe comfortable car – no I’m not on commission ????
