    I don’t know kezo – but I did a general search to see if it was an issue – apparently if it is plugged in the charge pad is switched off – I will have to have a good look through the manual.
    However it would make sense to turn off charge pad if plugged in, else where would you rest your phone.
    I am not aware of being able to run Apple CarPlay wirelessly on ultimate although I have read that you can on some of the lower spec models  – maybe they ran out of power sources on the ultimate and had to compromise on some other function – I drove for about an hour with iPhone plugged in and it was very warm which cannot do it any good – they are too expensive to risk damaging them.
    More research needed – but that will be tomorrow now.
