Sounds like a long trip POPS
I have similar situations – at the mo I have a Toyota Prius – PHEV version – so I get 28 to 32 miles locally on battery before engine kicks in – so most of my miles are cheap.
However like you although my annual mileage is under 10k I make long trips 2 or 3 times a year to my son in Cornwall – 250 each way.
I suspect you are just dropping in as mod and not changing to all electric just yet. I am certainly looking forward to getting the Kona ultimate and seeing what it is capable of – the long trips will be a challenge in the first instance in terms of confidence of charging away from home etc.
