It’s not rocket science that this has gone when the BiK for salary sacrifice and company car drivers is at 1% if they choose an electric car, hence manufacturers can’t keep up with the demand. Although the BiK rises to 2% next year, it still makes getting an electric car a no brainer if you qualify for one of the above as so many drivers do.
Anecdotally, our outsourced facilities manager had a high end Audi A6 Estate company car, now he has an M3SR. Saves him over £400 a month in BiK & his firm paid for his home charger and all the charging he needs anywhere in Europe. He loves the huge cash saving, moans about the charging stops.
