Using a plug in Renault Captur as an example , to cover 31 miles on electric only power, apparently it takes 4.25 hours at 2.4kwh to charge via a Domestic home wall point, whereas it takes 3 hours using 7.4 kwh via wall charger.
If you charge overnight anyway, it seems to me that the domestic method is cheaper and just as easy / convenient?
My guess is that it is a similar story with other car brands
