Hi Martinod. The government is going to credit everyone’s energy bill with £200 in October. However, this has to be repaid at a rate of £40 a year over the following 5 years, so it’s a loan. I’m sure that for many people it will be a help, but I would decline it if I could – but I can’t. My energy bills are likely to hit £4,000 a year so £200 is going to make no difference to me and I don’t need a loan but am being forced to have one. Article below refers.
