I was lucky that the geometry of the Mini just about worked for me. Certainly low down but I could get in and out without pain. Got the three-door one, having tested the five-door. Told that the suspension was the same. It ain’t. The shorter wheelbase and nasty low-profile tyres make for a sold, uncomfortable ride. The adjustable suspension – an extra – is useless. Two settings 1) bricks and 2) very hard bricks. Understand that smaller wheels and, hence, higher profile tyres make it much less painful. This can be done on Motability by specifying a lower grade of car but you then have to buy extras to get basic things like parking sensors. Moreover, it’ll cost more than the high-grade models and you’ll lose out on GCB too.
