    I think it’s a bit of a stretch to put the i30n etc into the fun category and not the hot hatch category. They’re definitely hot hatches.

    I could see the gr86 (gt86) being on possibly but I wonder if that’s anything to do with the numbers they’re produced in and whether Toyota don’t want to produce loads.

    When I got my last car in 2017 there were things like the Golf gtd, Leon FR, Focus ST (diesel) 2 series coupe, 3 series, gulia etc. Plenty to choose from I thought. They’re probably considered as “warm hatches” these days but they’re still fast and fun to drive in my opinion.

    I hope that once the car industry sorts itself out we’ll see things like that again although we could be in a bit of a transition to the hybrid/electric “fun” cars (not that many out there yet and they’ll be in high demand) so it might take a bit of time for them to work their way onto the scheme
