You are not wrong there. I made the mistake of not fitting them one year and it was so embarrassing as I couldn’t go anywhere until the roads were safe enough to get to Kwikfit. It really should be mandatory in places, I phoned motability about winter tyres and all they said was “don’t use the car until its safe to go out” . That means I could be stuck at home for nearly 6 months!
