Is my current car the best? oh, not at all, its a compromise as a lot of scheme cars are.
Best ever…well, I did love driving my Dads Chrysler Valiant Charger R/T – his company car, 4.3 V6, but making 302hp in the mid 70’s – a power not surpassed by a 6 cylinder engine till the release of the 911 turbo. Big comfy bucket seats, 4 speed manual, lots of fun driving that to pick up my girlfriend when I was 16. Had to have it home by 11pm and had to watch wheelspin as he’d check the tyres.
My own cars? Vauxhall Carlton 2.6 was lovely as was my Volvo V70. Never really had lots of cash to throw at cars, as I was too busy spending it on motorcycles…lol. The car was transport – I did prefer big displacement and big cars, but the bikes were my speed and power hit, cars were for comfort.
