Sorry there was no attending poetry with the last one – I was quickly fitting it in between the washing-machine finishing its final spin cycle, and taking the chicken out of the oven (DH’s favourite – Commiseration Chicken sarnies for ‘Back to work’ Monday lunch), and I just couldn’t think of any Roundabout-inspired verse. Or even anything about Swindon. (Slough, yes (Betjemen’s Come, Friendly Bombs, of course), but not Swindon.
