What is the mileage of your PHEV when the battery is flat? Also, how good is it at self-charging when the battery goes flat, for example, does it only self-charge about 10% or more, or less? I am not interested in the mileage when the battery is charged. I am concerned about motorway driving and having a PHEV, I do a mix of driving but more local than motorway, so if the PHEV could do over 30mpg on the petrol engine on the motorway when the battery is flat then that might be sufficient if I am getting “free” miles when I drive locally with a charged battery. Thank you ?

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV using just the ICE @ 70 mph 36mpg, @ 60 approximately 40mpg @ 55mph we are see just over 42/43mpg regardless of the weather with or without the heating on.

The Outlander PHEV using ICE above 40/45mph the PHEV engages direct drive and excess energy can be used to regenerate the batteries, on the motorway I use the SAVE/ or CHARGE mode.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
