I`m afraid they stick by that rule as well, it was the first thing they asked me years and years ago when i first got my cherished plate. They said it was to stop other people personalising the car, so the plate has to refer to the owner in a specific and personal way. Just explain to them exactly what the plate means and why you want it on the car.
