No one who contracted the Oxford vaccine went on to develop the serious version of Covid and that’s a good enough reason for me to welcome the protection offered by this vaccine.
As far as lockdowns not working that is factually incorrect. Wuhan province was the first area to use lockdown as part of their anti covid arsenal, closely followed by New Zealand. The fact is that the UK like others did not react quickly or decisively enough to a frightening pandemic which given the opportunity can decimate the best of health care systems.
That is why peddling half baked theories and trying to downplay the dangers posed by this pandemic is quite simply playing with fire. Of course for those convinced that Covid is nothing more than a conspiracy then perhaps they could prove their case by volunteering to work at their local hospitals ICU or Covid ward.
