Seasons’ greetings to all you wonderful people. Mrs T doing the recovery thing as well as possible. Very difficult balancing the desperate need for weight-gain along with the restricted, fibre-free diet which must be consumed in just the right amounts. Hope we are getting there.
District nurse came round yesterday to remove the metal staples from wound – 40 of the little buggers. Much less uncomfortable with them gone. Nursey (not a member of the Dark Side) said that Mrs T is suffering from PTSD.
Thankfully, Christmas-everything now delivered, unpacked, stored and ready to cook. Christmas dinner is going to be extra special Butcher’s leg of pork roasted with (small) portion of roast spud, ‘nips, proper DIY apple sauce and, maybe, blanched and fried brussels. Dessert, if room, could be amazing Waitrose espresso/chocolate torte or Sainsbury’s chocolate log. Might be tempted to do a tiramisu on Boxing Day but have to check diet sheet first.
Will probably be consumed while watching Muppet Christmas Carol or the King’s College service. Bet they do the wrong-tune versions of “In the Deep…” and “In Dulce Jubilio”!
Again, thanks to you all for your kind and supportive concern. A better 2021, please…
