BTW, if you want to see casual racism and anti-semitism then look no further than Buchan’s Hannay series (five books, I think). On another tack, terrorists murdering MPs today would be arch villains, but go to Edgar Wallace’s “Four Just Men” and they are the heroes of the day! Times change…
