Just as an aside before I rabbit on. James’s post this morning on car numbers on the scheme has confirmed that the diesels have come off. I suspect this is permanent given that Volvo have stated diesel’s removal is imminent,
So basically what you’re saying is that I’ve got impeccable taste. The Inscription Pro in Glacier Silver with red oxide is the combo I’m waiting for. ? Its nice to hear that you like it as well as it is pretty bold. And thank Mrs Bowly, double deckers will definitely be banned. ?
If I didn’t know better, I’d say Volvo change the glacier colour. Some I’ve seen are definitely silver but the late ones look almost white and the colour pops depending on the lighting. This is the colour I’d better get!
You’ve brought up a very valid point and one that I didn’t mention although I have droned on about it in other posts. The nubuck seats. I purposely didn’t have leather in my X1 and what a mistake. We have dogs and the seats always look like a yeti has been living in it. So I vowed whatever I got next would have to have leather. I wondered what the nubuck would be like but I took the decision to err on the side of caution. Your comment confirms I made the right decision.
It sounds like we have to get in and out the same way and I did notice that the distance from the sill (so where your calves are) to the seat pad is a little longer than in my X1 but manageable for me. It probably won’t have an affect on you given your height but for me, it’s really important. And with the settings I tend to have one setting for driving and the other setting for entry/exit.
Your point about the ticket holder going has also confirmed a little disagreement that my salesman and I had. He said that, “No, it’s still there. It’s a Volvo trait and is going nowhere”. Yeah right! Seems I was right. ?
I agree about the one key thing as well. It’s pretty bizarre. I’ve also heard of people recently receiving 2, 3 and even 4. It doesn’t seem to be guaranteed. That may be down to the MY21 change over though.
