JS that’s a ridiculous comparison… firstly I’ve a lot of years experience in the motor trade and still have friends there so I’m well aware of vehicles that are limited. Secondly only a few cars can exceed that speed and the 155 limit is a voluntary agreement between the German manufacturers except for Porsche. Name me one van that can exceed 155 cause that I dont know.
Otherwise the only limiters on cars is the maximum speed as set by the manufacturer, and in the case of my Leaf that’s a true 89mph (shows 100 on the dash). That limit is set not only by the engine size but by things like the tyres fitted, the braking system, whether it’s a car built for speed or economy….but I stand by my original comment that electric cars having a speed limiter is tosh ?♂️
