    bfoandc I think it highly unlikely that England would be free from the lockdown first but the question would similarly apply, could any part of the UK open before the others and I think the answer is yes. I agree that testing is very important but unfortunately the government has been very slow in rolling out testing in large enough numbers to play a significant part in the decision making.

    I think its likely, if things continue as they are, that Scotland, Wales and Northern Island will be released from lockdown first with potentially areas of England being released there after. Some areas might see young people, with restrictions, free to go back to work but restrurants, bars and cafe’s will be closed for months to come.

    We could of course hear of successful treatments coming from trials of existing medication being completed all over the world, that, even without a vaccine, would change everything.

    The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
