The fact of the matter is that, while EV and low emission cars enjoy no or low cost road tax, it should be enjoyed while it lasts. When we eventually do go fully electric, whenever that be, of course these vehicles will need to pay a road tax, whatever it’s called. There <i>will</i> be an overlap so both EV and petrol/diesel will pay at the same time. It’s just a matter of when and this article just confirms what I’ve thought as common sense for a number of years.
