When you look at the EV5 up close it feels like a full SUV, yet it’s supposed to be Sportage sized. Heralded as what the Sportage would be if it was electric it’s a great family car. When you get in one, especially if you’re used to the Sportage, it’s huge inside.
Have you been to Smart #5? I appreciate Brabus starts from £52,000 but basic models are in the low £40K’s and the vehicle is outrageously huge and comfy inside, with reclining rear seats and I think circa 600L boot space plus 100L frunk.
I was looking briefly at that after a lower number passed me the other day and looked so much bigger than expected.
Given the EV3 GT Line S is £3,300 ish then the EV5 Air could easily drop to £2,995 or thereabouts and the GT Line around £4-5k. The issue is that KIA are expecting the GT Line to be the big seller here and if that does happen, they’ll have no incentive to make it that attractive for us, however, if it struggles, then we’re a good outlet to get some on the roads.
