When you contact the dvla and pay for a retention of the private plate can you still use the plate on the vehicle till your new vehicle arrives as it’s not due to be available till end of November.Also I haven’t got the original number to put on the car I’m sending back how do I get the number that’s goon the car when I give it back.Do I have to contact the DVLA for that?
