I would assume depends on the dealership. But your “anxious friend” can always give a call to the dealer and ask – once the vehicle is in the country (presuming it is not UK manufactured), they have pretty good idea when it will be with the dealership. Once thing to note though, if adaptations are required, I would give a call and remind the dealer they need to book the slot (in my case -left foot accelerator).
