I am not keen on the fake grill on the Enyaq.
ID4 it is then 😂
I would say, it’s more down to which one you feel looks better inside and out, as they are basically the same car!
October 8, 2024 at 4:31 pm #290529Loving our Enyaq almost 1 month in. Interior of the brown leather Ecosuite is stunning. A couple of king trips and over 1400 miles mostly motorway and A roads we’ve averaged 4.1kwh.
October 8, 2024 at 4:41 pm #290532king trips
??
October 8, 2024 at 5:15 pm #290536Test drove both, they felt very different, ID.4 felt cheap, not very well laid out and seat was not as comfy. Enyaq was very smooth, better finish and trim, more gadgets for the AP and more options on interior finish via the various suites.
If I was to choose, it would have been the Enyaq without a doubt, didn’t care about the grill as long as it wasnt that horrific “crystal” grill/face whatever they call it.
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
October 8, 2024 at 5:23 pm #290538We weren’t 100% convinced by either car, so we ordered a Ford Explorer which we both instantly really liked. But now the AP on the Ford has gone up considerably whilst the ID.4 has dropped, so if we were ordering now, we’d probably go for the ID.4 or Enyaq.

For what it’s worth, I think they’re both good cars (I think they’re both built in the same factory) and it’s just a case of what works for you.
Choice is a wonderful thing and the cause of many rows!
October 8, 2024 at 5:57 pm #290541I looked at both, as above the ID4 felt a very poor second to the Enyaq. I really didn’t like the cabin, drivers info display or seats, it all felt quite cheaply put together.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
October 8, 2024 at 6:38 pm #290543I spent time with both before ordering and thought the ID4 felt cheap. We didn’t like the interior layout, the seats or those stupid haptic buttons. I also thought the Enyaq provided more equipment for the money.
October 8, 2024 at 7:12 pm #290551I went thru this, Enyaq has a bigger more practical boot only about 40 litres but ceiling height is better. Enyaq looks nicer side by side but that’s subjective lol. ID cars window thing drove me nuts only 2 window switches and that little “shift” button to operate the rears that really got on my chuff, there’s also the haptic controls which people either love or loath.
At the time the price worked out better spec for the Enyaq. Right now the ID4 starts at £999 whereas the 50 Enyaq starts at £0 fwiw. The 2 4wd options are both the same price across the Enyaq and ID4.
Sportline 85x Enyaq and Match 4motion pretty similar. You get trizone climate control in the Enyaq vs dual zone in the ID4 and the Enyaq comes with 20″ wheels vs 19″ on the ID4 that can go either way depending on personal pref.
I bet aside from the odd niggle on certain controls both are excellent cars

Who know’s! never hear of it myself but, you can bet I’ll be using more 🤣
October 9, 2024 at 7:44 am #290593Enyaq 👍 just felt it was a better looking interior than the ID4
October 9, 2024 at 10:32 am #290605I looked at both and thought the Enyaq was better equipped for the money.
Unlike Joejoe if I had to have a brown interior I would have given it a miss.
Don’t get me wrong, the Enyaq comes with faults but it’s definitely incredible value for money.
October 9, 2024 at 5:37 pm #290657Thanks everyone. Great to see so many opinions.
I did email both garages (Skoda and VW). I received a reply from Skoda, arranged a test drive and indeed had the said test drive without hearing a thing from VW.
The test drive was just us and lasted about an hour. I already have the ID3 so the look felt familiar. The biggest difference is the size of the boot.
In the boot went my folding Quickie Xenon 2 with wheels attached, and then Mother In Laws rollator and there was a bit of room to spare.
I love the wee ID3 and would heartily recommend it if you usually travel two up. We have done some long journeys with ease and the car is fully loaded with everything VW could find in the parts bin. Some of these toys I shall miss but the boot space top trumps everything. Might even fit the MIL in there as well!!

Mrs Joe also has the Xenon 2 and a rollator, we also have the Enyaq and I can confirm the car is perfect for us, space is amazing. It even takes a mobility scooter and 2 suitcases in the boot when we go away. You won’t be disappointed if you order.
