It re-routes you around stopped traffic and jams.
Does the built in Hyundai Sat Nav not do that as well? My BMW did but I haven’t hit any major traffic problems in the Hyundai yet to know. One thing that impressed me with the Hyundai system the other day, that my BMW didn’t do, is that when in an ‘average speed camera zone’ it displays a running average speed that you’ve travelled at within the zone from when you entered it until you finally leave. Clever stuff.
No it doesnt. The in built Hyundai satnav tried to direct me into a 2 mile long traffic jam I had passed 20 mins before. I passed the jam at the end of my destination. The return trip 10 mins later wanted to put me in that jam. After it did that a couples of times, I went looking for an alternative, I just could not trust it after that. That is why I started using Waze.
Hyundai/Kia’s that use the latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system can help you avoid traffic jams, by useing real-time traffic information to suggest alternative routes and keep you moving efficiently.
Currently thats the Kona, Tuscon and Santa Fe. The refreshed i5 and i6 will also get it.
