I find the inbuilt Satnav woefully poor.
I,ve started using Waze, it connect to car on android and its very good for routing you around congestion.
Hopefully a system reset at the dealership will sort out your glitches.
Micky, if you’ve gone through the Dartford tunnel there’s a good chance the car simply lost the connection.
If the car didn’t pick it back up when you came out of the tunel then getting clear of the tunnel and switching the car off and on again may restore it.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
No we had not been through tunnel at that time ,satnav was directing us to M11 CAMBRIDGE when we where long way from & before tunnel ,it seem to think we where through tunnel & near M11 CAMBRIDGE ???
Would the Sat Nav not just be telling you to keep in the right lane or move over to the right lane if on a multi carriageway road on you way to the M11?
My Mercedes Sst Nav & my TomTom both give clear instructions to select the correct carriageway in plenty of time before the actual manoeuvre.

In 2 years I have never had a problem with the in built sat nav, have found it just as good as any one I have had in the past.
The Waze satnav does stuff i ve never seen before. It communicates live traffic info, so if there is congestion, it redirects you around it.
But this one got to me. On the motorway, it warns you that a car is broken down on the hard shoulder a mile before you get there. That is something i,ve never seen a satnav accomplish.
Likewise Googlemaps warns you when a mobile speed camera van is ahead. That is surprising as there are 8 locations they use, but the live feed tells you which location the van is parked.

Most of what you experience with Waze is actually put on to it by other people using Waze. If you see a notification for a car on the hard shoulder it has been added to the system by other wazers, the same as roadworks and police.
Booked car in for satnav latest update ,told it takes 2 1/2 hours ,kia do 0800 slot or 13.30 slot , so hope sorts out crazy guiding bits.
Surprised it needs an update when it’s so new?
Did you record your fuel consumption on the Eastbourne trip?
