Rain forests, the lungs of the planet, are still being decimated to supply avaricious humans. When I was born, the global population was estimated 2.65 billion. Now trebled to 8 bn. Therein lies the problem that nobody talks about. All want a fridge, heating or cooling and transport. If the climate warming/ crisis/catastrophe/ emergency is to be solved before the next ice age, then a co ordinated global effort is required and not just from minor factors in the hand-wringing west.
In the short term, a political, arbitrarily created quota system should not distort the affordability of suitable transport for the genuinely disabled. imho.
