You can get a wall hung toilet for not alot more than a floor standing one, same with the sink.
If what there doing doesn’t comply with part M of the building regs, I would tell her your be taking it higher, as your disgusted with the way its gone, especially when a specialist contractor wouldn’t have charger much if any more.
