I can’t speak for other manufacturers other than VW but I think the dealers are more or less in the same boat as we customers, we’re customers of the dealer and the dealer is customer of the manufacturer. They get told that you might get the car in such and such date that are dates that have come off the top of someone’s head well down the ordering line. In my mind the manufacturers are to blame for all the misinformation about deliveries and as with everything else these days they just haven’t got the guts to tell the truth about the waiting time in fear you go elsewhere.
For deliveries that seem to jump the queue, this is something that is happening to VW orders too with no Ryme or reason to why someone might get a car faster than someone else but this is not an anti-Motability customer thing as I know its happening to everyone.
All we can do is sit tight and hope your car turns up soon, BTW my wait for my new car was 15 month and told it would be 3 months from order date but I now the dealer had her fingers crossed behind her back when she said that. ?
