@Daf Hyperthetically lets say you left tomorrow, there is no way Scotland would rejoin the EU the day after. It would take years upon years to rejoin the EU if at all, regardless  of what the EU or Sturgeon says. Even if Scotland were allowed back in, it would only be treated as a puppet.

Lets say there is no settlement bill invoved Scotland will straigt away loose around £41b a 2.4% rise over the Barnett formula plus money for public sector and farming. GERS put it at around £81bn for 2019. Doesn’t really matter which as it will be no more. Scotland deficit would be more than the rest of the UK put together. Scotlands revenue amounts to around £64bn which incldes revenue from offshore gas and oil. However this would be split 50/50 geographically in the north sea should Scotland choose to leave. Not to mention gas/oil as we know it is a dying trade. I won’t go into debt Scotlandwill be in for some years to come. Which leads me back to the EU won’t want a country in debt. Any jobs souyh of the border will be lost, investment and planned investment in new tech will be lost along with jobs when it comes south of the border along with the MoD, more than likely also including the scotts guards. Scotland will essentially lose its currency the £ regardless what is printed on it.

You may think Brexit was bad (although I’m happy to have voted for it) you ain’t seen nothing yet should the majority choose to leave, which I doubt when it comes to the wire placing votes on the ballot. Most Scots will be bright enough to see through the lies of the unionist Project which they did the first time around. Add to that Sturgeon and the Unionist party are faling oiut of favour with the electorate.

Either way it doesnot bother me, but perhaps putting indyref 2  vote to the whole of the UK may stand a better way of granting your wish.
